Memories and Mountains
Memories and Mountains in the Moonlight
I stride the raw road.
To peruse the moody face of the moon.
Dazzled, I watch a star explode,
A faint scent of the night dew clings to the air.
I inspect dusty relics of forgotten excitement,
Whippoorwills croon from their lofty lair.
A festoon of stars brightens the dark.
